Thank you for downloading from SIMSLICE! :)

Please do not copy, clone, hack, sell, distribute to others or post on other sites without permission from the creator. If you have questions about anything, please send an email to service@simslice.com. Thanks, and enjoy! :)

REQUIREMENTS: The Sims 2 Nightlife expansion pack. This was made in a game with the TS2U, NL, OFB and FFS expansions, one of which might sneak in a requirement (although it is unlikely). If you don't have all of those expansions, please send us your feedback. If you do, then you are all set for sure! You will also need to download a few Simslice items - see below for details. Enjoy! :)

NOTE: Sims 2 content is not compatable with the original Sims (TS1) game.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

Installation: Place the "CAS!.package" file in your "../Downloads" folder. Same goes for the three Simslice items, separate downloads listed below. For most people (depending on where you installed your game), that directory path is: "C:\Documents and Settings\...\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads"

You can only use one CAS screen at a time.

UN-INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

Unistallation: Simply remove the "CAS!.package" file from your "../Downloads" folder.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

This is a Create a Sim Screen (LOT) replacement for hell-fire or Vampire fans. The scene is window-less with lots of red and black decor. Fires (harmless) rage all over the place (which could cause older computers to run a tad slower, but no biggie). And last but not least, the Grand Vampyre NPC himself will RUSH at YOU.... (not your Sim... YOU!) when you first enter the CAS (again, if you have an older computer, this behavior might happen while the screen is still loading). Each time you finish making a Sim, the Grand Vampyre will watch over them by the black backdrop. When your Sim family is finished and "accepted", the Grand Vampyre will stand with them to get his picture taken.... but of course being a Vampire, he will not show up on the film hehheh... but watch him for a while before you take the photo and he'll perform various "hiss" and "bleh" behaviors for your amusement.

In addition to the requirements above, you will need to download and install four (4) Simslice items for this Create A Sim screen:

Object: CAS Bat --
Included here! The file name is "7Simslice-TS2-VampireBat-CAS.package"
This is an object specially made for this CAS only, that will spawn the Grand Vampyre NPC.

Object: Pet Fire --

Wall: Black Lights 2 --
http://www.simslice.com/thesims2/ts2walls-pg2.htm

Floor: Dark Black --
http://www.simslice.com/thesims2/ts2floors.htm

These downloads were purposely not included with this file in order for us to maintain version control. If any of these items are updated in the future, it would be confusing to have them in multiple locations. So please use the links above to download them and just put them in your "../Downloads" folder along with this CAS file. These links go to the webpage hosting these objects, which may change over time as new content is added. So if you don't see it on that page, check the next page or try our Search Engine here:

INSTRUCTIONS -- HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN CAS!:

1) If you are running The Sims 2 game, first quit the game.

2) Then open up the "My Computer" icon on your desktop and go to this folder:
C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 2\TSData\Res\GlobalLots\

3) Here you should see a file called "CAS!.package". "Copy" this file (select it and type Ctrl+C), and then go to this folder:
My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\LotCatalog\
And "Paste" the file there (Ctrl+P).

4) Rename the file to "cx_00000013.package". If this "...013" number is already taken, then rename it to the next available sequential number (i.e. "cx_00000014.package" or "cx_00000015.package", etc., whatever is the next unused number).

5) Now run The Sims 2 game, and go to the Neighborhood of your choice.

6) Take a look in the Lots and Houses Bin, and you should find a small lot with a strange name like "jlghjidsfln" or something similar. Place it somewhere in your Neighborhood, and enter it.

7) You will see that it is the set from CAS!. Edit it in whatever way you wish, but keep the basic CAS object set in the same place -- DO NOT MOVE OR DELETE ANY OF THE OBJECTS! You can put Walls in front of them if needed, and decorate your new walls, put in new objects, etc.

8) Then Save the Lot and move the House back to the Lots and Houses Bin. Note: Always keep the first floor visible when you save the lot, or else the CAS screen will be empty.

9) Quit the game and go back to the folder: My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\LotCatalog\

10) Now find your "cx_00000013.package" file (or whatever you renamed it to) -- this is that lot you just saved. RENAME the file to "CAS!.package" (without the quotes). Then copy it to your Downloads folder (for most people, it is here: "My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads").

11) That's it! The next time you go to create a new Sim or family, your CAS Screen will show your new background! Note that the custom CAS you just created is a "patch" over the default game CAS. You should temporarily REMOVE YOUR CAS whenever you install a new expansion pack or official patch just to be on the safe side. You can put it back in after you finish the installation. Put a note on your computer or CD case to remind yourself if you have to. Enjoy! :)
