INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

Unzip and put the file ending in ".package" into this folder:
C:\..\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads
Or if you are a frequent downloader, it might help you organize your downloads better if you created a new folder and named it "Simslice", like this:
C:\..\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads\Simslice

(Note: This "Downloads" folder is not created when the game is installed, but only when the auto-installer from the game is used. So if you don't have this "Downloads" folder or if you are new to downloading, simply create the folder in that location (use the capital "D"))

DESCRIPTION:

Antique Electric Chair!
Buy Mode Price: 602
Buy Mode Category: Comfort --> Living Chairs (Seating)
Statistics: Comfort 7; Fun 2
Enabled for use at-home and in Community and University lots
Works with any version of The Sims 2 game

Object Description:

When the states outlawed the use of this device, the underbudgeted powers-that-be saw a quick way to make a buck. They gutted the remaining chairs and opted to sell them to people who wore skin tight latex. Now you too can bring one of these antiques into your home. Click on it, and select any Sim on the lot to "ride the lightening". It works in two modes: safe and lethal. You choose the mode. Use it in the low-voltage safe mode for fun at parties or to suprise your unsuspecting friends and family. Or set it to the highest (lethal) setting to provide a much more... shocking revelation.

GAME PLAY INFO:

The electrified metal plate affixes to the back of the neck and head, it does not go on top of the head.

By default, the "Safety Protocols" are "On" so if you don't adjust anything, any Sim you shock will NOT die (but will not be too happy either). The Sim initiating the Shock will gain some Fun points. You can however turn the "Safety Protocols" to "Off" to make the chair deadly lethal. When you do that, it WILL electrocute and kill any Sim you send to the chair. You can turn the safety protocols "On" or "Off" anytime you want. Children can also adjust protocols and send others to the chair, but they cannot be shocked themselves.

Sims can still use the standard chair too, i.e. "Sit", "Read a Book", etc. but it won't shock them when they do that. But those options are not "clickable" on this chair either -- the Sim can still do them, but only if the Sim autonomously chooses to do them.

Don't worry about leaving it around your house. It is not a disaster waiting to happen. If a Sim chooses to relax in the chair on his/her own, it's ok. Sim's can ONLY be shocked if you the player deliberately send a specific Sim to the chair.

In the safety protocol "Off" mode, sometimes Sims will stand up briefly before collapsing and dying. That was done on purpose, so Sims wouldn't fall "inside" the chair (it didn't look aesthetically proper from a gameplay perspective, so this resolution looked a bit better than the alternative).

NEED MORE HELP?:

If you have any questions about downloading, unzipping and installing, please visit our FAQ page which has very detailed instructions at http://www.simslice.com/faq.htm

Any problems with crashes, freezes or objects not showing up are 99.9% of the time related to either "requirements" not being met, OR a fluke in the downloading/installing process... but it's NOT because of the actual object coding itself. Check our FAQ page for a very detailed list of these issues and resolutions you can do to resolve them. Typically the fix is to double check the requirements, and if you meet them, then delete and redownload the item. Do NOT use Simzip to unzip them. Further information as previously stated, is detailed on our FAQ page at http://www.simslice.com/faq.htm. If you still need help after consulting our FAQ page, please contact us and we'll try to help further.
