INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

Unzip and put any files ending in ".package" into this folder:
C:\..\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads
Or if you are a frequent downloader, it might help you organize your downloads better if you created a new folder and named it "Simslice", like this:
C:\..\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads\Simslice

(Note: The "Downloads" folder is not created when the game is installed, but only when the auto-installer from the game is first used. So if you don't have this "Downloads" folder or if you are new to downloading, simply create the folder in that location (spelled exactly the same - use the capital "D"))

DESCRIPTION:

"Red Eye" Homemade Hooch

Buy Mode Price: 10
Buy Mode Category: Miscellaneous -> Parties

Enabled for use on all lots
Requirements: None - made to work with any version of The Sims 2.
Statistics: Fun 10; Social 4; Hunger 3; Many fun ways to celebrate!

Object Description:

A fun & down-home way to celebrate any special occasion, especially if you're a Sim with a... less discriminating palette. In addition to the um... "flavor", this homemade hooch of questionable origin can help raise the roof on any party -- Sims can celebrate in energetic "fun" ways, or in dignified "classy" ways. Additional features include "festive", "formal" and "nude" toasts. The hooch cups are made of recycle-able cans, retrieved from local scrap yards and your neighbor's recycle bin. Dozens of celebratory actions, reactions, animations and a few surprises are included as well. And if you enjoy this, try our "Dom Prignon Champagne", "Beaujolais Nouveau" or "Beaujolais Festive" wines (separate downloads). Happy New Year!

As of the time of this writing, the "Beaujolais Nouveau" and "Beaujolais Festive" wines can be downloaded from here:

For an original Sims object (not compatable with The Sims 2 game) that is fun at New Years too -- check out our "NEW YEARS TV PARTY" where Sims can watch the famous ball drop at Times Square New York, while enjoying a whole variety of fun celebratory interactions:

TS2 GAMEPLAY INFO:

This is a special barrel of home-made hooch. Drink as often as you like, there will always be a little bit left at the bottom of the barrel for you or your guests to enjoy and it NEVER turns bad (because it can't get any worse).

You can make a toast to a Sim - sims from around the lot will gather and raise their metal drinking cans. You can also do a private toast with another Sim, but if their relationship is not good, the toaster might get a hooch-bath...

Much like our aforementioned champagne and wines, just having this barrel on the lot could inspire Sims to start celebrating with rattles, blow horns, and.... more. ;)

The "Classy" celebration doesn't come with any particular interactions - it just changes ALL Sims (aged child on up) into their formal attire followed by a bit of a foggy effect. Everyone changes, including waiter staff, visitors walking by, carpool drivers... even ghosts!

The "Festive", "Formal" and "Nude" toasts are just three different ways to toast with your friends. Some of them however might get a little too excited, but that's ok, it's a party, right? The "Festive" option is is more of a "praise little ol' me" occassion. It's only available to the currently selected Sim in play, and any other Sims (including guests) that choose it on their own. When chosen, everyone will still flock around to give you that selfishly-deserved toast in your glorious honor. :)

In some cases when doing any of the "Toast To" options, the Sims might appear to bang on the can or stand around waiting for a long period of time. That is usually because they are waiting for another Sim (perhaps one who just left the lot that they are unaware of). It will rarely, if ever, happen. But if it does, it won't last long and will likely never repeat so it's no biggie, just FYI.

Because of the size of the barrel and the placement of the invisible "slots" in the tray, when the cans first appear on the tray, they will (graphically) appear to bleed into the barrel a little bit (until they are picked up). Oh golly gosh darn it.

If you have the Holiday Party Pack (2005) or the Happy Holiday Stuff SP (2006), you may get some interesting visitors just before midnight... so keep your eyes pealed and... HAPPY NEW YEAR!

NEED MORE HELP?:

If you have any questions about downloading, unzipping and installing, please visit our FAQ page which has very detailed instructions at http://www.simslice.com/faq.htm

Any problems with crashes, freezes or objects not showing up are 99.9% of the time related to either "requirements" not being met, OR a fluke in the downloading/installing process... but it's NOT because of the actual object coding itself. Check our FAQ page for a very detailed list of these issues and resolutions you can do to resolve them. Typically the fix is to double check the requirements, and if you meet them, then delete and redownload the item. Do NOT use Simzip to unzip them. Further information as previously stated, is detailed on our FAQ page at http://www.simslice.com/faq.htm. If you still need help after consulting our FAQ page, please contact us and we'll try to help further.
