REQUIRED GAME FILES:

7SimsliceTS2-RemoteBoat5.package
7SimsliceTS2-RemoteBoatController5.package
7Simslice-TS2-RemoteBoatMarker5.package
7SimsliceTS2-RemoteBoatNPC5.package

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

Unzip and put the four files above into this folder:
C:\..\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads
Or if you are a frequent downloader, it might help you organize your downloads better if you created a new folder and named it "Simslice", like this:
C:\..\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads\Simslice

(Note: The "Downloads" folder is not created when the game is installed, but only when the auto-installer from the game is first used. So if you don't have this "Downloads" folder or if you are new to downloading, simply create the folder in that location (spelled exactly the same - use the capital "D"))

You must install ALL four files listed above or this object may not function as intended.

GAME PLAY INFO:

The Nightlife expansion pack changed the core pool flags for the game, so this object will not work with that expansion pack installed. We are working on revising it, and hope to release a Nightlife compatible version soon. The remote controlled boats are the ONLY Simslice objects that are not compatible with Nightllife.

You might notice the waterproof remote control (used underwater) looks differently than the one used above water. They are different controlers.

Sims aged from Children on up can use the remote control boats. Unlike the remote control cars, your visitors can also play with the boats. Sims can also "Watch" if they want to.

Sims can swim around and the boat will not interfere (or vise versa).

If you don't want your Sims to play with the boat anymore, just lift it out of the pool and store it on any table-like surface (end table, counter, etc.). Sims will not play with it until you are ready to put it back in the pool.

Enjoy!

NEED MORE HELP?:

If you have any questions about downloading, unzipping and installing, please visit our FAQ page which has very detailed instructions at http://www.simslice.com/faq.htm

Any problems with crashes, freezes or objects not showing up are 99.9% of the time related to either "requirements" not being met, OR a fluke in the downloading/installing process... but it's NOT because of the actual object coding itself. Check our FAQ page for a very detailed list of these issues and resolutions you can do to resolve them. Typically the fix is to double check the requirements, and if you meet them, then delete and redownload the item. Do NOT use Simzip to unzip them. Further information as previously stated, is detailed on our FAQ page at http://www.simslice.com/faq.htm. If you still need help after consulting our FAQ page, please contact us and we'll try to help further.
