INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

Unzip and put any files ending in ".package" into this folder:
C:\..\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads
Or if you are a frequent downloader, it might help you organize your downloads better if you created a new folder and named it "Simslice", like this:
C:\..\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads\Simslice

(Note: The "Downloads" folder is not created when the game is installed, but only when the auto-installer from the game is first used. So if you don't have this "Downloads" folder or if you are new to downloading, simply create the folder in that location (spelled exactly the same - use the capital "D"))

GAMEPLAY INFO:

If for some crazy reason you wanted to freeze or overheat all Sims except your own, just choose the -100 or +100 option under "all", then quickly choose the 0 option under "me". ;)

If you set the temperature for a Sim rapidly to 100 or -100, the game will try to give them an altered "skin" (greyish for cold, reddish for hot). Depending on your processor, you might experience a slight pause while this happens. It's just the way Seasons was designed and it shouldn't be intrusive (maybe a few seconds at most).

You can click "Info..." in the game to read the following details about temperature in the Season's expansion pack:

You can use this device as often as you need to raise/lower a Sim's temperature to your liking.

Temperature Scale:

0 is the optimal temperature for a Sim. It is midway between cold and hot.
100 is the hottest temperature for a Sim.
-100 is the coldest temperature for a Sim.

Gameplay Features:

1) "Set Temperature To..." will set a Sim's temperature to a specific number (-100, 0, or 100).

2) "Increase Temperature By..." will allow you to increase the Sim's temperature by 10 points.

3) "Decrease Temperature By..." is the opposite - lowering the temperature by 10 points.

4) Chose any of the "...All" options to check or change the temperature for all living Sims on the lot.

5) Choose the "...Me" options to check or change your own selected Sim's temperature only.

6) "Check Temperature For..." will show the numeric value of your Sim's temperature. A thermometer graph of this value is displayed to the lower right of your Sim's thumbnail pic too. Note: The Sim's biochemistry is always seeking equilibrium with it's environment so their temperature could flucuate after using this machine -- for example lowering a Sim's temperature and keeping him/her in a hot climate will eventually cause their temperature to increase again. Kind of obvious, eh? It's just the way the game is played.

NEED MORE HELP?:

If you have any questions about downloading, unzipping and installing, please visit our FAQ page which has very detailed instructions at http://www.simslice.com/faq.htm

Any problems with crashes, freezes or objects not showing up are 99.9% of the time related to either "requirements" not being met, OR a fluke in the downloading/installing process... but it's NOT because of the actual object coding itself. Check our FAQ page for a very detailed list of these issues and resolutions you can do to resolve them. Typically the fix is to double check the requirements, and if you meet them, then delete and redownload the item. Do NOT use Simzip to unzip them. Further information as previously stated, is detailed on our FAQ page at http://www.simslice.com/faq.htm. If you still need help after consulting our FAQ page, please contact us and we'll try to help further.
