INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

Unzip and put all three (3) files ending in ".package" into this folder:
C:\..\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads
Or if you are a frequent downloader, it might help you organize your downloads better if you created a new folder and named it "Simslice", like this:
C:\..\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads\Simslice

(Note: The "Downloads" folder is not created when the game is installed, but only when the auto-installer from the game is first used. So if you don't have this "Downloads" folder or if you are new to downloading, simply create the folder in that location (spelled exactly the same - use the capital "D"))

DESCRIPTION:

Lefty's "Super Scalder" Brand Fireworks!
Buy Mode Price: 85
Buy Mode Category: Miscellaneous -> Parties
Statistics: Fun 10
Enabled for use at-home and on all away-from-home lots
Requirements: None - Made to work with any version of The Sims 2 game, although if you have the Holiday Party Pack (2005) the fireworks will look much better.

Object Description:

Celebrate your country's independence by blowing up a small piece of it! This super-wide cone is stuffed with loads of extra goodies to ensure a breath-taking display of colorful fire and flare -- far more than any other fireworks on the market. You can light it on the ground, or launch it into the air and watch the dazzling displays in the sky! Sims from all around will flock over to give their respective oos and ahs. Happy Fourth of July!

GAME PLAY INFO:

If you light it on the ground, it will last three times as long and will never burn out (so you can use it over and over again, which comes in handy on Community lots where you can't just buy a new one). If you launch it in the air, it will explode and turn into a pile of ashes.

There are a lot of graphics being processed to produce these effects. On some systems, particularly slower systems, you might notice a few of the sparks might look like rectangles or look textureless. It all moves so fast, you probably will bearly notice it even if it does happen. But if you want, you can try adjusting your graphics detail in the game for a better look.

In one instance when multiple fireworks were set off on the ground at the same time, one Sim was temporarily stuck in "Watch" mode (and the object might say "can't select object in use" when clicked on). That was because when the Sim "watched" the first one, then tried to watch the second one, it had already finished so the Sim was in watching-limbo. If this happens, simply "Launch" it or delete it and the Watch action will be cancelled in the Sim's queue.

Happy Fourth of July, America!!

NEED MORE HELP?:

If you have any questions about downloading, unzipping and installing, please visit our FAQ page which has very detailed instructions at http://www.simslice.com/faq.htm

Any problems with crashes, freezes or objects not showing up are 99.9% of the time related to either "requirements" not being met, OR a fluke in the downloading/installing process... but it's NOT because of the actual object coding itself. Check our FAQ page for a very detailed list of these issues and resolutions you can do to resolve them. Typically the fix is to double check the requirements, and if you meet them, then delete and redownload the item. Do NOT use Simzip to unzip them. Further information as previously stated, is detailed on our FAQ page at http://www.simslice.com/faq.htm. If you still need help after consulting our FAQ page, please contact us and we'll try to help further.
