INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

Unzip and put the file ending in ".package" into this folder:
C:\..\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads
Or if you are a frequent downloader, it might help you organize your downloads better if you created a new folder and named it "Simslice", like this:
C:\..\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads\Simslice

(Note: The "Downloads" folder is not created when the game is installed, but only when the auto-installer from the game is first used. So if you don't have this "Downloads" folder or if you are new to downloading, simply create the folder in that location (spelled exactly the same - use the capital "D"))

DESCRIPTION:

Edible Vampire Bats!
Buy Mode Price: 7
Buy Mode Category: Miscellaneous
Statistics: Hunger 4; Fun 2; Vampire attributes!
Enabled for use at-home and on all away-from-home lots
Requirements: None - Made to work with any version of The Sims 2 game, however to use the Vampire-related functions you need to have the Nightlife expansion pack installed.

Object Description:

Snack bats! Oh Yummy! Enjoy these tasty(?) treats at your next party! Your guests will snarf them down! Lots of vampire-esque attributes included! Put the black bats out on your buffet table, and any Sim who eats one will turn into a Vampire instantly. Put out the brown bats, and any Vampire who eats one will be instantly cured of Vampirism (turned back into a regular Sim). Works on family members, guests and NPCs. Whether you are a Vampire or not, you can also turn your Sim into a flying bat anytime, and stay that way for as long as you want. Fly around the lot and still do all the same things your Sim would normally do... but just as a bat. You can also summon the Grand Vampyre NPC anytime you want... you can spawn multiple Grand Vampyres too. You can also dress into a female or male Vampire outfit anytime. If you don't have the Nightlife expansion pack, the Vampire-related functions won't be available for you, but you can still use these bats as regular, healthy, edible snack food... if that's you're thing... :p

GAME PLAY INFO:

How to change into a Vampire Outfit: Just choose the "Eat" option, and cancel the action before the Sim picks up the bat to take a bite. Only adults (male or female) can wear the outfits because they are from the Grand Vampyre NPC.

Only Vampires can eat the brown bats since they will cure Vampirism. Only Sims (non-Vampires) can eat the black bats since they cause Vampirism. Sims while in their "bat" form cannot eat these bats.... that's cannibalism.... which is just sick.... not that "bat eating" is all that normal either... :p

There is no chance of getting food poisoning.

If you cure a Vampire while out in the daylight, in some cases the "sun steam" on your Sim might stick around. If that happens, certain activities will remove it, such as going to sleep in a bed and then getting back up.

To turn a Sim into a bat, just select "Turn Into Bat". That's it. Everything else is the same... except for... well, the whole "being a bat" thing.... To turn back to normal, just select "Turn Into Sim". You do not need to be a Vampire to use this option, but it only will be available for Teens and older.

If a Vampire uses the "Turn Into Bat" option, and then clicks on the lot and selects the standard "Fly Here", the game tries a duplicate transformation that is not necessary, and the game will instead turn the Vampire back into "human" form. If you are already in bat-form, you don't need to use "Fly Here" anymore - just move the Sim with any of the "Go Here", "Run Here", or any of the other routing commands available and the bat will fly there.

Since it's nearly impossible for us to test every single object & action in the game while in bat form (although we did test MANY), I just wanted to mention this, just in case: If by some chance, your Sim while in "bat" form turns back into a Sim but the "bat" is still present and flapping away, just use the official "moveobjects on" cheat to remove the bat. If you are unfamiliar with this cheat, just go into Buy Mode and type Ctrl+Shift+C to open the cheat-box, then type "moveobjects on" (without the quotes) and hit Enter. Then click on the bat and delete it. Then before you play again, reopen the cheat-box and type "moveobjects off" (without the quotes) and hit Enter. That last step is VERY important. Any questions, just contact us. :)

NEED MORE HELP?:

If you have any questions about downloading, unzipping and installing, please visit our FAQ page which has very detailed instructions at http://www.simslice.com/faq.htm

Any problems with crashes, freezes or objects not showing up are 99.9% of the time related to either "requirements" not being met, OR a fluke in the downloading/installing process... but it's NOT because of the actual object coding itself. Check our FAQ page for a very detailed list of these issues and resolutions you can do to resolve them. Typically the fix is to double check the requirements, and if you meet them, then delete and redownload the item. Do NOT use Simzip to unzip them. Further information as previously stated, is detailed on our FAQ page at http://www.simslice.com/faq.htm. If you still need help after consulting our FAQ page, please contact us and we'll try to help further.
