10 Steps to PROPERLY Placing Multi-Floor Apartments from the Gallery 1.) Pull up the lot in build mode; I always keep the apartment names the same as the lot they're built on so just find the one that matches. 2.) Bulldoze whatever's currently on it. 3.) Activate bb.moveobjects 4.) Open your Library in the Gallery and locate the first floor of that apartment. Place it and maneuver the "room" around until the outline turns green and the walls highlight yellow. It should be a perfect fit. 5.) Things like blinds on windows, stairs and some misc décor placed using the "ALT" key may not show up. You'll replace the stairs, at minimum, in a later step and can personally determine how important the other details are to you. 6.) After the first floor is set, click "PgUp" on your keyboard or click the up arrow on your game screen to go to the next floor. 7.) Make sure your grid is turned on - if not, hit "G" on your keyboard. 8.) Repeat step four, but this time using the second floor of that apartment. If it's an open to below/lofted space, the game may generate a full floor so after placing it, hit "K" to activate the sledgehammer tool and delete the uncolored/blank section of the upstairs floor. You should be able to see down to the first floor from the balcony. Be sure not to delete the entire floor. If it's not a lofted space, it should place as intended without any modifications. 9.) Take a look around & note things that you have to copy+paste yourself. Often times wallpaper in some areas needs to be recopied (just do what makes sense). Now you can go back down to the first floor and replace the stairs. It should also make sense where they go. 10.) The final step is to close the wall gaps. In order to upload apartments to the Gallery in as few parts as possible, we have to delete sections of the wall to "trick" the game into thinking it's one big room. I usually delete the wall sections behind doors/archways and then misc walls throughout. You'll be able to spot them pretty easily, pleaaaase don't forget this step! You can redraw the walls, then copy/paste the wallpaper or just drag them close.
